Jasmine Green Tea
The key to this divine liquor is the high quality green tea from Guangxi province in China, married with the finest jasmine blossoms which bloom in May for the most sensationally sweet aroma. Jasmine flowers are picked during the day and layered with tea leaves during the evening when they open to release their incredible perfume. It results in a taste that is sweet, smooth, and delicate, and to be enjoyed throughout the day.
Food pairing: Goes well on its own and with fried and salty foods, as it cuts nicely through the oil. It also goes exceptionally well with hard cheeses like cheddar making it taste even creamier.
Brewing instructions: 1 teaspoon of loose leaf or 1 pyramid bag. 2-3 mins at 80ºC. It's important to brew green teas at a lower temperature as this avoids any bitterness, and brings out the sweetness.
